Koei Tecmo gave Fire Emblem fans a double whammy today at Tokyo Game Show 2017, announcing that both Caeda and Tiki will be the latest characters to join the cast in Fire Emblem Warriors.
Here are the descriptions for both, as per Koei Tecmo:
Caeda –Â Princess of the Talys. She has a lovely appearance and kind-hearted personality, as well as a mysterious charm and unifying force that fascinates others.
Tiki –Â Royalty of the Dragon Tribe. Princess of the Naga family. She has an innocent, child-like personality. She is mentally childish, but she speaks suprisingly level-headedly.
Caeda and Tiki being added to Fire Emblem Warriors is a pretty big deal, as they are both from Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon — a title which only had Marth representing it up to this point. As such, despite it still being a bit lopsided, Awakening, Fates and Shadow Dragon are now the three titles that have the highest amounts of representation in the roster.
Here are the characters confirmed up to this point:
Shadow Dragon
- Marth
- Caeda
- Tiki
Awakening
- Chrom
- Robin
- Lucina
- Lissa
- Frederick
- Cordelia
Fates
- Corrin
- Ryoma
- Hinoka
- Sakura
- Takumi
- Xander
- Camilla
- Leo
- Elise
The Blazing Blade
- Lyn
Gaiden/Shadows of Valentia
- Celica
As for Caeda and Tiki, specifically, though Koei Tecmo only posted a reveal trailer for the two, some gameplay footage featuring the two in combat has recently surfaced. There is nothing particularly remarkable about Caeda as she appears very similar to Cordelia and Hinoka, the game’s other two Pegasus Riders, in terms of gameplay. Best case scenario, she’ll have something done to her like Lucina which will give her something that further separates her from the other two. Tiki, on the other hand, is as unique as it gets and appears to be something like the game’s “joke” character but can still actually fight — albeit with a weird moveset (think Agitha in Hyrule Warriors). She flails her arms and trips over herself, as well as seemingly throws dragonstones at her enemies. It’s an odd move considering that she’s a dragon, but it’s still pretty cute.
Fire Emblem Warriors will arrive on the Nintendo Switch and New 3DS will launch in North America on Oct. 20.
