The Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Multiplayer Beta is just hours away, and while many are patiently awaiting their first taste of the next Call of Duty, there’s still more to see with the upcoming Blackout Call of Duty Battle Royale Mode further down the line in September.

Although you might want to free up some space on your HDD considering the Black Ops 4 Beta Client is around 16 GB, DON’T DO IT.  You’ll need the Black Ops 4 Multiplayer Beta Client to Access to Blackout Beta in September.  Activision says that this Beta Client will automatically change into the Blackout Beta at a later date.

The Black Ops 4 Private Beta is shaping up to be one of the most robust beta offerings from Call of Duty that we can remember.  It’s going to feature 10 different Specialist characters:  Ajax, Nomad, Chasm, Firebreak, Battery, Prophet, Ruin, Recon, Seraph, and Torque. Each of the Specialist characters has unique Specialist Abilities, Equipment, and Strategies to employ in the game.

Alongside the beefy roster, there will be six different multiplayer maps and six different multiplayer modes to test out.  That sounds like a lot of content to keep you busy with throughout the course of the beta.

Right now it’s unclear whether you’ll be able to redownload the client if you happen to delete it, but just to play it safe and get access to the Blackout Beta you might as well keep it around for the next month or so.

The Black Ops 4 Private Beta is currently available to pre-load for those who pre-ordered Black Ops 4 digitally and will be available soon for all others.
