Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered was first made available exclusively in a bundle with the previous major release in the franchise: Infinite Warfare. Fans clamored for a separate, standalone release though and after months Activision finally delivered. The game was made available by itself on PS4 back in June, and today sees Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered finally available in a standalone release on Xbox One and PC.
Featuring improved visuals, full online multiplayer support, and even its own DLC expansions, COD: Modern Warfare Remastered has quickly become a major pillar of the franchise for fans. The game costs $40 by itself, which might be pretty high for a re-release like this, but is cheaper than the $80 bundle that was available before. We previously reviewed the standalone release on PS4, so check out our review if you’re wondering if the game is worth it.
“One of the most critically-acclaimed games in history, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is back, remastered in true high-definition, featuring improved textures, physically based rendering, high-dynamic range lighting and much more,” reads the description from Activision.
If you decide that the game is for you then you can pick it up on Xbox One via the Xbox Store, and on PC via Steam.
