Whether you love, hate, or don’t care either way about Call of Duty, one thing that all gamers can unanimously agree on is that the introduction of Call of Duty Zombies changed everything. In just a couple of weeks, Call of Duty: Vanguard, the newest entry in the series, will be released and with it new Zombies maps, monsters, and stories to sink our teeth into. From Nazi Zombies to Margwa, Call of Duty Zombies is no stranger to strange monsters, and in its new Zombies, there will be Demons and Dark Aether.

Call of Duty Zombies first appeared in the legendary World War II game Call of Duty: World at War. The first maps consisted of Nacht Der Untoten, Verruckt, Shi No Numa, and Der Riese. Since then, each subsequent Call of Duty: Black Ops game has featured Zombies. Some of the fan-favorite maps throughout the series are Kino Der Toten, Mob of the Dead, Origins, Shadows Of Evil, and IX, just to name a few.

On Thursday, October 14 at 8:00 a.m. PDT, the Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies Reveal Trailer will go live, teasing just what is in store for Friday, November 5 when Call of Duty: Vanguard comes out. Based on the description, which reads, “Your mission: Stop the undead army with a new set of Dark Aether skills,” players may be using the Dark Aether to fight their enemies.

Call of Duty Zombies is known for its layered, if not overly dense, world plot that die-hard fans love. Throughout deep Easter Eggs and near-impossible challenges, players have discovered a deeper thread that ties Zombies all together. This trend will seemingly continue into Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies. Dark Aether, introduced in the latest Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, will return in Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies and this time could serve to aid instead of hinder.

The Call of Duty Twitter account, to hype up their Zombies Reveal Trailer, has tweeted, “Zombies + Dark Aether + Demons!?” In a return to form, as Call of Duty: Vanguard is a World War II game just like its predecessor Call of Duty: World at War, it seems from the cover art of the trailer that players can expect to fight Nazi Zombies again, alongside Demons, of course. Call of Duty fans have a lot to look forward to with Treyarch’s Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies.

Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies will be available on November 5 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and Series S, Xbox One, and PC.
