Can Lords of the Fallen Survive In A Crowded Time of Year?

Lords of the Fallen has now received a release date, although the game is coming out in a very crowded time of year.

Lords of the Fallen is a new action-RPG game being developed by CI Games in Poland and Deck 13 in Germany. Many have compared the game to Dark Souls based on its similar look and seemingly difficult gameplay style. It will be released on October 28th in North America and October 31st in Europe. The game will be available for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The PS4 version runs at 1080p, although it’s not known what the resolution will be for the Xbox One version.

A lot of games are being released this Holiday season, so hopefully Lords of the Fallen can do well. It might be hard for the game to stand out though, as it shares the same release date as Assassin’s Creed Unity and WWE 2K15. Not to mention Battlefield: Hardline releases the week before and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare releases the week after.

One good thing going for Lords of the Fallen is that it’s not an annual franchise. It is also an action-RPG and not the usual FPS or sports games we see these days. Hopefully the release date works out for the game in the end. It will be sad if the game flops simply because it came out during a busy time of year.
