We’ve known for a while now that Capcom has been working on releasing several Resident Evil games for the Switch. Now a release date for these games: Resident Evil 0, Resident Evil HD Remaster, and Resident evil 4 has finally been set for May 21. These editions seem to be the same ones released for the ps4 and xbox1 back in 2016. In addition to playing these games on the go, it will be nice to finally have updated versions of these resident evil games on a Nintendo Console. While these games have been released again, and again on multiple different consoles, Nintendo has only gotten prior-gen versions of the titles.
Capcom also announced that the Resident Evil Origins Collection will be made available in a physical copy at retail on the same day. The Origin Collection will just be RE0 and RE1. RE4 will just be getting a digital release for now. This is only for the United States release. In Europe all three will be separate digital downloads. Unfortunately, there isn’t any other concrete details about the games or their price point, but all three will be available for pre-order on Feruary 28th. Hopefully then we’ll learn more. Maybe now the RE2 remaster isn’t out of the question for a switch release.
