Capcom is bringing to Nintendo Switch one of its flagship series. Today the company has announced that is porting Monster Hunter XX to the hybrid console, after releasing it on Nintendo 3DS earlier this year. The game is a special edition of the original Monster Hunter X, known as Generations in North America and Europe, and it adds two new hunting styles and 14 new hunting techniques, apart from new fields and monsters.
Western fans are celebrating the announcement, since the company had still not decided on whether to bring the 3DS version of the game outside of Japan. While it’s not clear if this version for Nintendo Switch will include any new content not seen on the 3DS release, a lot of fans will be just happy with the massive graphic upgrade that the game will get in this port.
The news come as Capcom confirmed in the latest financial support that they were disappointed with the sales of Monster Hunter XX in Japan. However, the project could end up being a very profitable release for the company, considering that lots of fans will want to try the new version just for being the first game of the series on Nintendo’s new console.
Capcom is expected to reveal more details on this release very soon.
