Announced as a special collaboration between Tripwire and Torn Banner, Chivalry II sees us return to midevil times as you’ll be taking part in defenses and assaults on castles and fortresses. Tripwire has been known to help out certain developers with the development in their projects, and this one is no exception. The game is scheduled for a Q1 release in 2020, and honestly if the trailer is any indication, we can’t wait for this one.
The trailer is quite a sight to behold as well. Knights and soldiers are literally tearing each other apart in battle, and the graphic nature doesn’t shy away either. Limbs are lost, weapons are bludgeoned onto body parts, and catapults are slimming down the numbers in the effort of taking the area. On top of that, it appears that depending on the weapon of choice, you’ll either have an advantage over your opponent, or be completely overpowered.
According to the developers, players will be tasked with certain challenges to complete in order to ascertain the defense of their area, or complete a takeover for their team. As we said earlier, no release date was given, but we do have a general idea of when the game will release. Chivalry II will launch in early 2020 for PC on the Epic Games Store.
