Dark Souls: Remastered is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC later this month, but before its release, Bandai Namco will host a network test to make sure it’s ready for launch. Details about this network test and how players can participate in it were recently given in a press release.
The press release states that the Dark Souls: Remastered network test will take place on May 11 and 12 from 6:00pm PST to 11:59pm PST each day. Participation in this network test will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players, though an Xbox Gold subscription is required for Xbox One players. To participate, players will need to download the Dark Souls: Remastered Network Test client, which will be available to download from today (May 1) until May 8 at 11:59pm PST (May 9 at 2:59am EST), after which the network test client will be unavailable and no more players will be admitted to participate.
The Nintendo Switch version of the game was recently delayed to an unspecified date later this summer, but it was revealed in this recent press release that a Switch network test will occur sometime before its release. Dark Souls: Remastered will launch on May 25 and will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
