Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 launched for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita last March exclusively in Japan and Asia, though the Asian version was in English, which led to many people importing the game. One of the most interesting features of the game advertised was that of a mode for PSVR, but the launch of PSVR came and went without much mention of it. The wait is finally over though as PSVR support for Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 is almost here.
According to an update on the official Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 website, which has been translated by Gematsu, the VR Paradise mode for Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 is finally arriving tomorrow, January 24.
VR Paradise mode will work in tandem with the existing Owner’s Paradise, with you able to play Gravure Paradise, Event Paradise, and Photo Paradise all in VR. Many of these situations will be available as you unlock more gravures, events, and poses, though some gravures will be available from the very beginning with PSVR, even if you did not unlock them in Vacation Mode.
The game will also be getting an upgrade for PS4 Pro owners, but it is only in two areas through PSVR, Gravure Paradise and Photo Paradise. As stated on the website, you’ll be able to enjoy the PS4 Pro’s visuals here, including the ability to “be able to clearly see the girl’s expression, really highlighting her cuteness!”
As soon as the VR Passport goes live tomorrow, January 24, it will be completely free to download for those that own the full game and want to play the game using their PSVR in the aforementioned modes. However, it will only be free for a limited time. Starting on February 28, the VR Passport will cost 1,500 yen if you have not downloaded it previously.
Those who just have the free-to-play version will have to play 1,500 from day one if you want to get the VR Passport. In addition, the free-to-play version has a special VR Passport bundle for 2,500 that includes the VR Passport and the ability to use Marie Rose and Honoka.
You can check out the official trailer showing off the PSVR support in Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 below and look for the VR Passport to go live sometime tomorrow on the Asian and Japanese PlayStation Store.
