The Dead Island series is coming back in a few months with the release of the Dead Island: Definitive Collection for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and it looks like it will be come packed with a pretty interesting extra: Dead Island: Retro Revenge.

Dead Island: Retro Revenge is a described as a new stand-alone 16-bit game that is based on classic games of the past. While its existence was outed by an AU classification earlier this year, we’re now getting more details about it. It will apparently be a side-scrolling action / endless runner that takes place within the Dead Island setting.

Along with Retro Revenge, the collection will also include remastered versions of Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide, with the collection costing $39.99 and launching on May 31st. All DLC and patches from both games will be included with the release.

One notable omission from this package is Escape Dead Island that released in 2014, but that is a game that everyone should just forget even exists.
