Blizzard has just announced that two of their most highly anticipated games will be shown in playable form at this year’s GamesCom convention later this year. Both Diablo III & StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm will be playable at the gaming convention held from August 18th to 21st in Cologne Germany. Blizzard is looking to leave a lasting impression on convention-goers with these two titles as playable demos.
Could this mean that we’re closer than ever to the release of Diablo III? Well yeah, we probably are closer than ever, but knowing Blizzard it could still be some time off. Although, Blizzard did announce that there would be an external beta for Diablo III, which would be conducted in the third quarter of 2011. This means that anytime between right this very moment and the end of September you could be getting your grubby hands on Diablo III for the first time.
