Blizzard says that Diablo III on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will be pretty much the same. After a scheduled day-one patch, Blizzard’s upcoming Ultimate Evil Edition for consoles will run at 1080p 60fps on both the Xbox One and PS4.

In a statement to OXM, Blizzard explains: “We’ve now confirmed that following a day one patch, the Xbox One version of UEE will run at full HD 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second,” that is up from 900p and 60fps that the game will launch at.

Blizzard didn’t delve into any details about what made this possible on the Xbox One, but obviously there’s not going to be a sacrifice in quality for Xbox One owners this time around. It very well could be that the recent decision to free up power of the console which had previously been dedicated to the Kinect.

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls Ultimate Evil Edition is due to arrive later this month on August 19th for the Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, and PS3.
