Dishonored 2 is not coming until early 2016, but the series is making the jump to current generation consoles a little early in about a month with Dishonored: Definitive Edition. Those looking to pick up the game next month might want to look at the digital side, as there is an excellent deal that is hard to pass up.

One of the downsides of most remasters is the fact of having to pay full price again for the game, but Dishonored: Definitive Edition is taking a very different route. Those who own the original Dishonored digitally will get a massive discount on Dishonored: Ultimate Edition.

Dishonored: Ultimate Edition is now up for pre-order on both the Playstation Store and Xbox Games Store and if it detects that you own Dishonored in your purchase history, the price will be instantly reduced from $39.99 to only $20 on Xbox One and $19.99 on PS4.

The best part here is that those who got the game for free through PS Plus or Xbox Games With Gold are also eligible for this deal, so for those that just add the games each month to their account without much paying attention, make sure to see if you got this one in the past to be able to take part in this deal.

Many people are completely opposed to remasters in general, especially at the price they come at. For instance, many remasters are even more than the $39.99 this one is normally. Now to take half of Dishonored: Definitive Edition or early adopters is great and what hopefully more publishers will look into doing moving forward, especially if they want to entice gamers to go more towards digital downloads than physical.
