The Division Update 1.2 Adds a New Incursion and the Ability to Cut Extraction Ropes in the Dark Zone

by Kyle Hanson

Tom Clancy’s The Division is set to receive its second major update with The Division Update 1.2 “Conflict”. The update has a bunch of new stuff for players to dig into, with a brand new Incursion titled Clear Sky. Players will have to team up and work together to the best of their ability to finish this extra tough mission. But if you do succeed the rewards will be great, with new endgame gear to trick out your character with.

But the new Incursion isn’t the only thing that The Division Update 1.2 will give you. It will also add in new mechanics, such as the High Value Target or HVT. “The HVT officer inside your base of operations will provide you with a list of these targets, along with a description, their level, and the recommended gear score you need to engage them. You’ll have a limited amount of time and only one chance to take down these targets.”

There will also be some changes to The Dark Zone, with extractions becoming a bit tougher, and more of a focal point for conflict. Players can now cut the rope containing everyone’s extractions, dropping all of the gear to the ground for pickup. Players will have to keep an extra careful eye on their extractions from now on, or risk letting other players grab all their hard fought gear.

Tom Clancy’s The Division Update 1.2 hits PS4, Xbox One, and PC on May 24th.
