Doom is getting another closed beta on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, which will begin on March 31st and run until April 3rd. This beta is for those who preordered Wolfenstein: The New Order. Those gamers should have gotten a preorder code, which, if they redeemed it, will give them access to this new beta.
“In the DOOM Multiplayer Beta, fans will have the opportunity to play the brutally fun and challenging shooter weeks before its release. The Beta is expected to feature two maps, Heatwave and Infernal, and two modes, Team Deathmatch and Warpath, along with never-before-seen weapons, armor sets, taunts and hack modules.”
Along with this announcement came a brand new trailer. The Doom official multiplayer trailer, contains some great, 1080p 60fps footage from the game’s multiplayer modes. The fast, frenetic action is on full display, with players facing off against each other, as well as huge demonic monstrosities. This is some of the first gameplay footage shown from the multiplayer, which looks to be as big a part of the game as the single player campaign.
Unfortunately, those who didn’t preorder Wolfenstein will have to wait to get their Doom fix. The game launches on May 13th for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
