Nintendo has been trying their hand at the mobile game landscape over the last few years with games like Super Mario Run and Fire Emblem Heroes. While people are waiting on Mario Kart Tour to release beyond the closed beta, Dr. Mario World has arrived for both iOS and Android even earlier than expected.
Dr. Mario World was announced awhile back as an upcoming Nintendo mobile game and more recently was dated for July 10th. However, Nintendo decided to push that one up evidently as the game is now available to download.
On both the iOS App Store and Google Play Store on Android, you can search for Dr. Mario World right now and download it. For iOS, the game is 192.5 MB, so you won’t have to clear too much space to play.
For those expecting the usual Dr. Mario game, you may be a little disappointed to find something a bit different here. This game appears to be more similar to games like Candy Crush than previous entries in the series.
Dr. Mario World is completely free to download, but it does have microtransactions that you can purchase in the game. This seems to be the trend with Nintendo’s recent mobile games like Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, so that’s not a surprise at all.
