Even though the Dragon Ball franchise has many series outside of DBZ, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 won’t feature much from Super and GT.
J Patrol had chance to interview Masayuki Hirano at Japan Expo recently. Hirano serves as the producer for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and he revealed a lot of great information about the game.
The game will not feature storylines about Dragon Ball GT or the original Dragon Ball. The focus again is heavily on Dragon Ball Z. The newest additions are the movies from the Dragon Ball Z franchise.
The game was also originally not going to have any content from Dragon Ball Super because the series started after the game went in production. Due to high fan demand though, they are going to add some Super content as DLC. Future Trunks and Black Goku are already confirmed to be pre-order bonuses.
Whether or not more Super content is planned in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 remains to be seen. At this point though, it might only feature playable characters and stages but nothing storyline related.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is out on October 25th in North America and October 28th in Europe. You can get it on the PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
