Dragon Ball Z is back in full force with the series seemingly everywhere lately, with new movies, a TV show, and more games as well. A few characters are set to show up in next week’s J-Stars Victory Vs+ in the US, but it has now been officially revealed that the US will be getting yet another Dragon Ball Z game later this year as well.

Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden was first announced in the last few months, serving as the next entry in a long running series of 2D fighters. Unlike the Budokai series and the like that made it to the US, we’ve missed out on most of them, outside of Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Battle 22 and Dragon Ball GT: Final Bout.

Luckily, Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced through their Twitter that the Americas will in fact be getting Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden for the Nintendo 3DS later this year on October 20.

This is great news for fans of the series, with it giving us another style game here that we don’t get very often. On top of that, we also don’t have another game announced, so this is very likely the only game we’ll get into sometime next year.

This game will feature over 100 fighters between playable and assist characters, so it should be a lot of fun to try out later this year.
