An upcoming update patch to Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden will be adding new assist characters. These characters will be recognizable to those that have been watching Dragon Ball Super lately.
Kanzenshuu reports that the latest issue of Saikyō Jump magazine in Japan shows that Frost and Botamo will be added to Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden as assist characters.
However, it’s worth noting many of the update patches for the game have been exclusive to Japan only. It’s possible these characters won’t be available elsewhere unless the update patches are released to Western countries someday.
Anyway, the addition of Dragon Ball Super characters in Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden is a good sign for the new series going forward. Hopefully this is a sign that we will get new video games dedicated to the new TV series that is currently airing in Japan.
If you are unfamiliar with Frost and Botamo, they are from Universe 6 which is another universe different from the one that Goku and the others live in. The new characters are part of a team compiled by Champa. The two teams are in the middle of a tournament to decide if planet Earth gets moved to Universe 6 or stays where it belongs.
