The official release date for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 has now been released and it will be out sooner rather than later.
For Xbox One and PS4 owners, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 will be grinding your way on September 29th, 2015. The game is still set to be released for PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2015 sometime.
Robomodo has confirmed that it currently has no plans to port Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 for PC and Wii U at the moment. This might depend on the success of the game on the aforementioned consoles.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 will see the return of classic levels such as the “Warehouse” and “School”. Some other new tweaks have been added, but the game has a “retro” feel and look to it.
Tony Hawk games after the 4th one deviated greatly from the simplicity of the older titles. They had bigger open-world like levels and sometimes included missions that weren’t even about skating.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 should hopefully make skateboarding games popular again. The last big title from the genre was EA’s Skate 3 in 2010. The last Tony Hawk game was the HD remake.
Skateboarding fans better bookmark their calendars for September 28th so they can play the game.
