E3 2016: The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Wolf Link Amiibo Support Revealed

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was announced previously to have some sort of amiibo support with the Wolf Link amiibo coming out already. Now with a new set of amiibo exclusively based on Breath of the Wild, we have details on how to use all of these new amiibo.

Using the Wolf Link amiibo in the game will bring Wolf Link into the game as your companion, with its health being based on how many hearts you saved on the amiibo in the Cave of Shadows in Twilight Princess HD. Wolf Link can help you as you adventure around Hyrule, which is something very different for a Zelda game.

Considering Link has no Navi or Fi like partner here, Wolf Link can be with you here, who can even help in combat. Wolf Link can also sense prey and meat for hunting, which is a big help in the game.

If Wolf Link dies in the game while playing, you can summon him again 24 hours later in real time, not game time, so make sure to be careful to not get him killed.

This feature for the Wolf Link amiibo looks like a great addition to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, though I’m sure some will be disappointed that this is a feature that only those that purchase the amiibo can use.
