Gamers looking to play Electronic Arts games this evening are dealing with a bout of downtime across a number of games from the publisher. Social media is flooded with angry EA game owners, who are lodging complaints about not being able to access the online multiplayer aspects of many games, and even single player titles that require server connections.

EA has acknowledged the outage, and claim to be working on the issues at the moment. A tweet from the EA support reads: “EA is currently experiencing an outage. EA games, services & support may be impacted. We’re working to resolve as fast as possible.”

Users are reporting problems in FIFA, Battlefield, Plants vs. Zombies, Madden, and other titles are all claimed to be down at the moment. The outages aren’t limited to Origin on PC, PlayStation and Xbox owners are also claiming that games aren’t playable.

It’s unclear if its a technical issue on EA’s end, or if there’s foul play involved. If so, EA can be thrown onto the list of high profile DDOS attacks on gaming servers in recent weeks.
