EA is promising that Star Wars Battlefront 2 will be more engaging than the first game that came out last year. Maybe this time around, a story is included.
EA’s CFO, Blake Jorgensen, mentioned during the company’s conference call that they expect “Star Wars Battlefront 2”, to be released one year from now. There is a chance that the game will be out before March 2018. Many expect it to be in Fall 2017 to coincide with the release of Star Wars: Episode 8.
Jorgensen also mentioned that EA and DICE are working very hard on the game and they want to make sure that it’s “deep and engaging” for players.
There was criticism towards the first EA Battlefront game due to its lack of a single player campaign and emphasis on only the original trilogy.
It felt like a step backwards because the older video games featured way more content and included the prequel trilogy too. Star Wars Battlefront 2 is expected to feature new stuff such as content seen from The Force Awakens.
The name of the game might be different than just Battlefront 2. This is because Battlefront 2 was the name of the game that came out back in 2005. We’ll just have to wait and see until EA makes an official announcement.
