While the game may have been leaked earlier than expected, we now have the official reveal of Elden Ring. This new game comes from the minds behind some of the biggest fantasy franchises of all time. Hidetaki Miyazaki of FromSoftware’s Dark Souls series and Game of Thrones creator George RR Martin combine their visions for this new title.

Not many firm details were shared, but we got an idea of the world players will be inhabiting for this new game. Featuring some deep lore, the reveal trailer already set the stage for a deep and rich world players will explore as they seek to set things right. What will they have to do to accomplish that? No idea yet, but I’m intrigued so far.

The real draw for Elder Ring isn’t the gameplay yet, it’s all about those two creators and the world they will create. Swords and sorcery seem to be just the beginning, and it’ll be exciting to see where this game goes in the end. Will it be more Dark Souls or more Game of Thrones? Will it be more a action focused affair like Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, or more of a slow paced RPG like Dark Souls? Find out when more details are shared for Elder Ring.
