The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind is set to arrive on June 6th, but a few players will get to jump into the game a bit early. According to Bethesda and Zenimax, those who have pre-ordered the digital upgrade version or the Physical Collector’s Edition of The Elder Scrolls Onine: Morrowind on PC and Mac will get to play the full game starting on May 22nd.
This “early access” period, as they are calling it, is different from the beta and any other way that players have been able to play this latest expansion. From May 22nd to June 6th those who bought these versions of the DLC will be playing the full release on live and final servers. All progress during this time period will be retained when the game goes live for everyone else.
If you have pre-ordered these versions of The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind and want to take advantage then there’s one thing to keep in mind. Those who buy the physical Collector’s Edition will need to reach out to ESO customer service right here. It’s also important to note that you can buy these versions of the game after the May 22nd early access launch and still gain access.
The Elder Scrolls Online has been one of the MMORPG genre’s biggest successes. The game struggled at launch, as so many MMO’s do. But after some tinkering and a rethinking of the payment method, the game has built a solid and dedicated playerbase that has supported the game ever since. New expansions keep hitting, offering content both new and old for the franchise. Morrowind is just the latest, and more are certainly in the works.
The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind not only offers the titular landmass from one of the series’ best entries. It also adds a player vs player arena mode.
