Guerrilla Games has shared a new trailer of the upcoming The Frozen Wilds DLC expansion of Horizon: Zero Dawn. The video showcases the beautiful environments that will be seen in this new adventure, which is set in a brand new area located in the northern mountains of the map. Some of the locations that players will get to visit are rivers, icy caves, a Banuk camp, and dangerous mountain paths, all of them creating a magic environment that fits perfectly in the impressive world created by the studio.
Apart from introducing a brand new area, The Frozen Wilds will also present new enemies and a new story chapter to go through. This time, Aloy embarks on a journey to the northern lands in order to uncover a new mystery. This is the official overview of the DLC: “Beyond the northern mountains, the borderlands of the Banuk tribe challenge all who dare enter to survive the extremes. But now this frozen wilderness harbors a new threat, and for Aloy, a new mystery – one she’s determined to solve.”
The Frozen Wilds DLC launches on November 7 for $19.99, and it requires the original game to play. However, if you don’t own Horizon: Zero Dawn yet, Guerrilla will launch a Complete Edition including the game and the new DLC on December 5. Watch the new trailer below.
