Etrian fans gather round, as later this week fans will be able to enjoy Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: The Fafnir Knight ahead of the full retail/digital release, even if it is a demo version.
Atlus has announced that the demo for the anticipated RPG, Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: The Fafnir Knight, which was originally schedule for Tuesday is now set for release later this week. The change was announced via the Atlus Twitter account. This may come as a surprise to most fans, but at least the demo is releasing at all. It’s pretty cool that Atlus still does demos for their titles.
Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: The Fafnir Knight is actually a remake of Etrian Odyssey 2:Â Heroes of Lagaard. There are several improvements the game has made over its predecessor, such as the ability to confirm commands during battle which can be turned off if the player likes the classic play style. The map this time around will feature more detailed icons to let the player know various key aspects. For instance, the icons for a closed treasure chest will differe from one that has already been opened.
Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: The Fafnir Knight is set to release exclusively for Nintendo 3DS on August 4th in North America and February 12th, 2016 in Europe.
