Fall Guys is getting a map creator feature in the future. The new mode was announced earlier in an announcement stream which detailed many new aspects coming to the game in June. The map creator functionality itself doesn’t sound like it will be coming when the game goes free to play in the weeks ahead, rather a mode that’s a work in progress that will be added to the game at a later date.
In traditional “one more thing” fashion the stream revealed a map creator which allowed creators to make just about anything they want in terms of constructing their own Fall Guys courses. Some of the features gleaned from the very short footage in the announcement stream included functionality that was similar to what is found in Mario Maker. Making players who create courses have to survive the course until the timer expires to actually publish the course.

Beyond that, it appeared to have different prices tied to certain elements in the game with some items costing more than others. How this system or any of the systems in Fall Guys course creator was not detailed at this time due to it being still under development.
While this might have been the show stealing feature in the Big Fall Guys Announcement stream, it was far from the only one. It was also announced that the next big milestone for the game will be when it launches as a free-to-play title on June 21st. On that date it will launch on the PlayStation 5, Xbox and Nintendo Switch as well as the Epic Games Store.
You can check out the footage shown of the new course creator in the video below:
The game will fully support cross-play, cross-platform parties, and cross-progression while using an Epic Games Store account. Those who are looking to play on launch day can pre-register here.
While there’s certainly a lot to be excited for from Fall Guys in the month ahead, it doesn’t sound like the Course Creator will be launching alongside these things in June. At least it was not announced to be at this time.
