Fallout 76 seemed like all that anyone could talk about at and after E3 2018. The game offers a new and unique take on the highly popular post-apocalyptic series, offering an always-online multiplayer experience rather than the single player RPG adventure of past entries. With this big of a shift, many players have been left with open questions with the promise of an upcoming beta answering many of them. And now we have the release date for that beta, with Bethesda announcing that the Fallout 76 B.E.T.A. program will begin in October.
“Starting in October we’ll be selecting people who have pre-ordered the game from a participating retailer to enter our B.E.T.A.” reads the announcement from Bethesda. “We’ll start small and grow over time as we prepare for launch. Be sure you’ve read our F.A.Q., for details on how to redeem your B.E.T.A. code and other important details.”
The team acknowledges that there are still tons of questions out there surrounding the Fallout 76 experience. While no new answers are given, they promise some will arrive at the game’s panel at Quakecon. Watch for that if you’re waiting on more info before diving into the game. And if you want to be a part of the Fallout 76 Beta in October, be sure to preorder and redeem your code before then.
