The next iteration of the Farming Simulator franchise is on the horizon, as publisher Astragon Entertainment has revealed that Farming Simulator 17 will launch on October 25th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
While much of what fans of the previous Farming Simulator games have come to enjoy will be present in this newest version of the game, for the first time ever mod support will be available to the console versions. Considering mod support on PC is where many get the true enjoyment out of the game, hopefully that will be something that translates over to the console versions.
There’s good news for those who will be attending Gamescom, as well, as the game will be playable there. While the new game is set to be the big draw, the publisher claims that other games belonging to the Farming Simulator franchise will also be making an appearance. Not only that, but there will also be prize draws and numerous activities happening at the event.
Farming Simulator 16 made incremental improvements over previous iterations, though most agreed that it was for hardcore fans of the series only.
