While Firewatch definitely wasn’t one of the biggest games of the year, it nevertheless was well-received and became one of 2016’s earliest hits. One of the things that most everyone who played the game praised was its great visuals, and now the game has received a new update that will allow everyone to appreciate them more.
Developer Campo Santo has revealed that the game now has a free-roam mode, which essentially eliminates any objectives from the game and allows you to just take in its lush environments. A dynamic 24-hour day and night cycle is also included, which shows off the game’s impressive scenery even more. The patch is available on all versions of the game.
Earlier this year we learned that the game surpassed 1 million copies sold, and that the developers were now in the process of creating a movie adaptation.
