For Honor and Sniper Elite 4 managed to be the best selling games of the week in the United Kingdom according to the official report. Ubisoft’s game saw particularly great numbers, and it’s the first time that the top 2 positions are taken by new releases since the opening week of FIFA 17 and Forza Horizon 3 last year.

For Honor is a great multiplayer game for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and it represents the biggest new IP to debut on top of the charts since the launch of No Man’s Sky last year. The console split was 57% of its sales for PS4 and 43% for Xbox One. It’s also Ubisoft’s first chart-topper since Tom Clancy’s The Division.

Sniper Elite 4 also has a good debut at number 2 in the All Formats list. Published by Sold Out Sales & Marketing, our review calls it “the best in the series yet” and it seems like fans are responding to that. In the Individual Formats list, For Honor takes the top 2 positions, while Sniper Elite 4 takes numbers 3 and 4.

Elsewhere in the charts, the arrival of the two new releases means Grand Theft Auto V gets knocked off its All Formats number 1 from last week, although it’s still number 3 with a reported increase in sales. Retailer deals gave FIFA 17, Battlefield 1, Forza Horizon 3 and Lego Dimensions a boost in sales, although their chart positions was not too different from last week. PS4 exclusive Nioh had a steep decline from its number 1 debut in the individual list to number 13 this week.

Finally, 3DS’ Dragon Ball Fusions debuts low, placing 36 and 35 in the All Formats and Individual lists respectively.
