Free Xbox Games With Gold For March 2017 Revealed

February is coming to a close, so it’s time to start talking about what free games we’ll be getting in March. Sony’s been late to their announcement as of late, but Microsoft is on the ball once again, revealing the free Xbox Games with Gold titles for March 2017 already. Once again we’ll get four new games playable on Xbox One, two of which via Xbox One Backwards Compatibility. Check out the full list below.

Starting on March 1st, players will be able to get Layers of Fear for Xbox One, along with Borderlands 2 for Xbox 360. Both games are worth $19.99 right now, making for a great value for those with an Xbox Live Gold membership. Later in the month, new games will unlock with Evolve Ultimate Edition on Xbox One and Heavy Weapon on Xbox 360. Both of the Xbox 360 games can be played on Xbox One via Backwards Compatibility.

“Evolve was made free-to-play” I hear you all saying already. Yes, but that’s just the base game. As with any free-to-play title, there’s more to the game than what you get without spending any cash. This set is the Ultimate Edition for the asymmetical multiplayer experience. In it you’ll get pretty much everything that has been released for the game. Evolve Ultimate Edition is currently priced at $49.99, making it a big boost for those who’ve thought about jumping into Evolve.

Xbox Live Games with Gold typically delivers some great free games for subscribers to try out. As always, we’ll do a nice head-to-head between it and PlayStation Plus, deciding which offers the best value and experience. This looks like a pretty good month for Xbox One though, with Evolve definitely becoming the game it was always meant to be now that it has gone free-to-play. Hopefully the influx of new players will boost it once again.
