Amir Efrati of the Wall Street journal has sources that claim Google is developing both an Android based gaming console and a wristwatch that will offer Android phone connectivity – presumably via Bluetooth signal.

The sources revealed that “the Internet giant hopes to design and market the devices and release at least one of them this fall.” Little information is currently available, but this move is hardly a surprising one – albeit a tad risky – with recent Android developments.

Google has apparently expressed concern with Apples increasing interest in the gaming elements of their new Apple TV. Perhaps the success of the Ouya – an Android based home console – will determine whether this considerable investment is a smart one.
