Gran Turismo 7 will arrive on PS4 within two years

With Gran Turismo 6 launching in the face of the PlayStation 4, many wonder when we’ll see a proper next-gen version of the popular racer. It turns out that Kazunori Yamauchi and company already have plans for Gran Turismo 7 on the PS4, and it will arrive “in a year or two”.

According to a recent interview with Famitsu, Yamauchi says that the Gran Turismo 7 will have a bigger community aspect than previous games.

“The PlayStation 4 game which we’ll likely call Gran Turismo 7 will be done in about a year or two, I think, and I think the community aspect’s going to be vital there as well.”

These community aspects will be getting a headstart on the PlayStation 3 in Gran Turismo 6. The game will integrate mobile apps that allow players to use smartphones and tablets to send and receive messages.

Gran Turismo 6 is due out later this year.
