Sony Interactive Entertainment and Polyphony Digital have shared three new trailers of Gran Turismo Sport in which they review the game’s new advanced matchmaking system, the groundbreaking VR mode for PSVR, and an overall preview. The game is hoping to take the franchise’s focus in the direction of online competitions, and with that objective it has developed new gameplay systems that provide players with complex and fair mechanics.
Presenting testimonies from GT Academy winners Lucas Ordoñez, Ricardo Sánchez, Jann Mardenborough, and Bryan Heitkotter, the videos showcase how demanding is the new matchmaking system, which analizes the players’ performance to put them in groups with drivers of similar skills, in order to make races as balanced as possible. The VR mode brings in an unprecedented level of immersion in the game, with gameplay built from the conception of the game and not just as a mere afterthought.
Gran Turismo Sport is launching this October 17 in North America, and October 18 in Europe, exclusively for PS4. Watch the trailers below.
