Polyphony Digital has finally put a date to the release of the next mainline Gran Turismo game. Gran Turismo Sport will launch on October 18th exclusively on PS4, marking the end of a long development that has made fans of the series wait many years to get their hands on the first entry for the current console generation. The message was accompanied by a new short trailer showing some gameplay footage and the release date.
Polyphony Digital president Kazunori Yamauchi was in charge to deliver himself the news, through a personal message on the PlayStation Blog, where he also thanked the fans and everyone involved with the recent Beta program. He also promises to unveil more information about the new features of the game, including the campaign mode, creative tools, and all the cars and tracks selection.
Additionally, it’s been also announced the many different editions of the game that are available to pre-order now, including standard and special editions for retail and digital.
The Gran Turismo Sport Limited Edition costs $69.99 MSRP ($89.99 CAN) and includes:
- GT Sport Starter Pack (8 Cars)
- $1MM In-Game Credit
- Livery Sticker Pack
- 30 GT Sport Themed Avatars
- Chrome Racing Helmet (For Driver Profile)
- Limited Steel Book & Packaging
The Gran Turismo Sport Digital Deluxe Edition costs $79.99 MSRP ($99.99 CAN) and includes:
- GT Sport Starter Pack (12 Cars)
- $2MM In-Game Credit
- Livery Sticker Pack
- 60 GT Sport Themed Avatars
- Chrome Racing Helmet (For Driver Profile)
