Delays for AAA video games are becoming common because Gran Turismo Sport will no longer be out in November 2016. Polyphony Digital will have to announce a new release date.
Polyphony Digital’s Kazunori Yamauchi posted an update about Gran Turismo Sport on the PlayStation Blog. More development time is needed in order to meet the high expectations from both fans and the team itself. Details for the delay can be seen below.
However, as we approach our planned release date in November, we realize we need more time to perfect GT Sport, which we’ve already dedicated so much effort towards since announcing the title.
We do not want to compromise the experience in any way. While we cannot confirm a new release date at this time, we are more committed than ever to making GT Sport the best Gran Turismo game to date.
It’s too bad that they cannot share a new release date to us at the moment. Early 2017 is already crowded so it will be interesting to know when the game will be out. A generic 2017 release was only announced by Yamauchi. Polyphony Digital will not be able to rush the release for December 2016 as more time is required.
