Grand Theft Auto V listed as 2012 Release by GameStop

A recent listing was posted by GameStop in Germany for Grand Theft Auto to arrive in 2012.  The Wal-Mart of the video games industry has the title slated for a January 15th, 2012 release.  There’s no telling if there is any truth to this rumor, as RockStar hasn’t actually announced anything regarding the release date as of yet.

ScrawlFX posted a rough translation of the game’s description on the German website.

“Rockstar has now been moved first official information about GTA V! In an interview with the Times, said Dan Houser, that is already working on the fifth GTA. But before the characters are created, the developers take care of the city, will play in the round. Houser is also co-wrote the screenplay for the plot, which will comprise about 1,000 pages.”

Regardless of the date in a 2012 release window, it looks like we’ll be hearing more about Rockstar’s next GTA title at this year’s E3.
