Grand Theft Auto V reached a milestone this month as it has now sold over 5 million copies in the UK alone.

As reported by Eurogamer, Grand Theft Auto V sold over 5 million copies in the UK. This is just for the retail copies of the game. Sales on Steam and other digital platforms were not included. The number of people that bought the game could be higher.

As last count, Grand Theft Auto V shipped over 45 million copies. The title has become the UK’s best selling video game of all time. The previous best selling UK game was Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Grand Theft Auto is still selling pretty high as it is number 3 on this week’s UK video game chart. This is thanks to the recent release of the PC version and content added to GTA Online.

Grand Theft Auto V was only beaten by newer releases of Project Cars and Wolfenstein: The Old Blood. Next week will be interesting as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is sure to shake up the positions.
