GTA V Online Heists will not be a part of the day one experience when the game launches on new-gen consoles. However, a recent post on the Rockstar Newswire has confirmed that they will come as part of a free update, and will be coming to all platforms.

“Get ready for continuing free content updates for Grand Theft Auto Online, including the highly anticipated launch of Online Heists (which, to be absolutely clear, will be available for all four consoles to enjoy),” reads the update from Rockstar.

No concrete details from Rockstar themselves about what Online Heists will entail have been revealed to this point, nor has the developer given an exact timeline on when to expect them. The good news is that they will be free, and coming to all platforms though.

With Rockstar anticipating the possibility of Day One issues for GTA V on Xbox One and PS4, Online Heists won’t likely arrive until GTA V and GTA Online are stable across all platforms should any problems arise.
