Guardians of the Galaxy burst into the mainstream with the release of the movie back in 2014 and is set to return in May with their second outing ahead of The Avengers: Infinity War. It’s been pretty surprising that there haven’t been any games based on the property outside of the mobile platform, but that is finally changing with Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series.

First leaking a few weeks ago by SAG-AFTRA with a list of games that were already in production that were not affected by the ongoing voice actor strike, we knew some sort of Guardians of the Galaxy game was in development, with it looking like it might be from Telltale.

Well, that is in fact the case as Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series was announced at The Game Awards 2016. This very short teaser only showed a cassette tape flying in space called “The Rad Mix” with King Harvest’s “Dancing in the Moonlight” playing over it.

We have no idea if this is in continuity with the movie series or not, but with the use of music and that aesthetic in the short trailer, it’s very possible that it could be like with Game of Thrones. We’ll have to wait and see when more information is released though.

Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series will be “coming soon” to consoles, PC, and mobile devices.
