Some pretty big Valve games are set to be getting the movie treatment, as movie director J.J. Abrams has revealed that scripts for both Half-Life and Portal are being written.
The news doesn’t come as a complete surprise, as Abrams revealed in 2013 that he and Valve’s Gabe Newell had spoken and expressed interest in collaborating with each other. However, it hasn’t been until now that any other information regarding the collaboration came to light.
The news was revealed recently when J.J. Abrams spoke with IGN, saying that the Half-Life and Portal movies are, “in development and we’ve got writers and we’re working both those stories.”
Unfortunately, that’s all of the news that Abrams was able to share at this time, so be sure to stay tuned for when more information comes to light.
