Halo 5: Guardians was first teased two years ago at E3 and with a release set for later this year, this is the final E3 victory lap for the latest Halo title. We already knew that the campaign would be split between both Master Chief and the newcomer Locke and the Microsoft conference kicked off by showing us the first campaign gameplay footage with the latter.
Believing Master Chief to be a traitor, Locke’s team of four is on the move. Within the conference, we see four players taking control of each member of the group to make their way through the game. The action looks as explosive as ever and definitely Halo.
The Plasma Caster is a new weapon that we see Locke grab and use before being having to face a boss at the end that seems to take him down before the live demo ends.
Halo 5: Guadians will release on October 27 for Xbox One. As soon as this gameplay footage is put online, you can count on finding it below.
Make sure to stay tuned all day and for the rest of the week to Attack of the Fanboy for the best coverage on not only this game, but plenty more. For all of the info you may have missed yesterday, make sure to check out our Day -1 Wrap Up Video as well.
Update: The Halo 5: Guardians campaign demo video is now available to watch.
