UK retailer GAME has revealed a couple of exclusive special editions of the upcoming first-person shooter compilation Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Both a Limited Edition and extra special Mjolnir Edition were shown off, which at this time can only be purchased by pre-ordering at GAME. If you want them you’ll have to act fast though, they seem to be selling out fairly quick.

The Halo: The Master Chief Collection Limited Edition retails for £52.99 or around $89. It comes with the following exclusive items:

  • A Collector’s Limited Edition Steel Book Case: Show off you Halo: Master Chief Collection game with the Limited Edition Collector’s Steel Book Case, perfect for keeping your game safe and stylish at the same time!
  • A Physical Map Book: Never get lost in any of the Halo games with the detailed and informative physical map book, which features every map available in all the Halo games! Learn the battlefield and get the upper hand against your opponents.
  • The Grunt Funeral Digital Skull DLC: Have a party taking down Grunt after Grunt with this DLC which will cause your foes heads to explode in a shower of confetti upon scoring a headshot!

The Halo: The Master Chief Collection Mjolnir Edition takes this and adds a bit of flair to the package. Along with everything found in the Limited Edition you also receive a special Artfx statue of Master Chief. “Standing nearly 12 inches tall, this statue displays Master Chief in his iconic MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armour. Complete with his trusty Battle Rifle and interchangeable arms, you can position Master Chief in any number of unique poses!” This set will cost you £170 or $286, but at the time of this writing it has already sold out online.

So far there has been no word on a special edition release coming to North America, or anywhere outside of the UK for that matter. The Halo series has been synonymous with awesome special edition releases since the steelebook version of Halo 2. We’ll just have to wait and hope that other countries get some special treats for launch day.
