A man on TikTok shared a frightening story about what happened when he tried to meet someone from a dating app. The user, who goes by Mike, posted a video talking about an incident that still bothers him years later.

Mike said this happened not long after he moved to Los Angeles. He was new to the city and wanted to meet people. He started talking to a woman on a dating app, and after chatting for a few hours, she asked him to meet up for drinks that night.

According to Bro Bible, he took his brother’s car and headed to the address she gave him. But when he got there, something felt wrong. The area was eerily quiet and next to a sketchy storage facility. Then he saw someone emerge from a nearby car holding a duffle bag and a phone. The woman texted him saying she could not find him and asked him to step out of the car. Mike stayed inside because the whole situation made him nervous.

Something was definitely not right here

Things got stranger when the woman said she had given him the wrong address by mistake. She sent him to a different spot. Mike drove to the new location, but it looked just as bad. There were some apartments and another storage place nearby. He waited around for a few minutes but did not see anyone.

Then the same guy with the duffle bag showed up again. Mike started paying closer attention. He sent a text and watched the man check his phone and type something back. Right after that, Mike got a message. He figured out that the man outside was the one texting him, not the woman from the app.

Mike asked if the person texting was with the guy he could see outside. They said no and claimed the man was just a friend who would walk Mike up to the apartment. That was the last straw for Mike. The missing safety checks are a real problem, especially when you consider how dangerous encounters can turn deadly.
