Hearts of Iron IV is an upcoming grand strategy game set in the tumultuous period of the 1930s and the 1940s being developed by Paradox Development Studios, the in-house developers of publishers Paradox Interactive. They had originally had a planned release window of Q1 2015, but have released the following statement of their intentions to push it back to late Q2 2015:
“Hearts of Iron IV is a very ambitious undertaking and we might have been a tad optimistic with the original Q1 2015 date that was communicated. Hearts of Iron IV is our most complex game with massive scale as well as a lot of systems and details you need to get right. Its a lot of work to make it as good as we want it to be.” – Hearts of Iron IV Project Lead Dan LindÂ
So there you have it. What this means is that we probably won’t be able to get our hands on the game until the first days of summer, barring any further postponements of course!
Are you disappointed with having to wait even longer to get to play Hearts of Iron IV? Perhaps pleased that they want to make it as good as possible? Let us know in the comments below!
