Capcom has been quietly releasing remastered versions of the more action-heavy installments of the Resident Evil series this year, and the last one set for a release is Resident Evil 4. Seeing as that game hasn’t already been re-released on just about every platform imaginable (kidding), it will now be making its way to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
While the remastered version of Resident Evil 6 and Resident Evil 5 gave us something to go on when considering how Resident Evil 4 remastered was likely to turn out, we now have some new gameplay footage from the game to check out for ourselves. The game is definitely showing its age, but all things considered it still holds up surprisingly well.
There are two videos for you to check out below, with the first one showing off the opening moments of the game in the village and the other takes place later on within the castle. They’re both great parts of the game and are both worth checking out solely for the gameplay if you somehow have never seen them before.
As for the visual enhancements for Resident Evil 4 remastered, the game will run at 1080p and 60fps and includes all of the additional content that the game has ever received. It will launch for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on August 30th and will cost $19.99. Check out the gameplay videos below.
