Two of gaming’s biggest powerhouses are joining together later today with the Mario Mash-Up Pack for Minecraft: Wii U Edition. The DLC will be offered for free to anyone with the Wii U version of the game, giving them access to a special Mario themed world, as well as skins and textures based around the hugely successful franchise.
The news of this DLC came just over a week ago, with the initial announcement saying it would hit on May 18th. Thankfully that was incorrect, and we’ll be getting it a bit sooner. So when will the Mario Mash-Up Pack hit Minecraft: Wii U Edition?
Today, May 17th at 6pm Pacific Time (9pm Eastern), this is the date and time given from the official Nintendo of America Twitter account. The pack will likely show up on the Nintendo eShop at this time, so head there, or load up Minecraft: Wii U Edition and head to the in-game store. The pack will be free, so everyone should take advantage and grab it while it is available.
This pack was produced by 4J Studios in partnership with Nintendo. There are many other mash-up packs like this featuring other games, though some are exclusive to other consoles.
